Waterfalls offers a large queen sized room beautifully decorated off the central lounge and kitchen area. The central open fireplace and sun filled kitchenette is fully equipped for cooking needs.

The ensuite bathroom boasts large spa bath and separated shower. The front patio is shaded by the old Royal Oak and offers spectacular view across the Valley.

HISTORY

Built from local sandstone in the mid-1880s the two room slab hut next to the creek was home to Orchardists and Gardners who worked the land on the steep hillside.

Nestled next to an historic English Oak, Waterfalls was rebuilt from the remains of a pioneer cottage. The secluded cottage is named for Hunter’s Falls that cascade down the nearby creek.

The magnificent Oak in front of the cottage dates to this time.

The restoration of this property has been faithful to it’s original design with the addition of the well-lighted kitchen at the rear. The image below shows the cottage in 1981, prior to being restored.
